Abstract

This study aims to understand the political impact of social policies on Yemeni reality after 2015, by illustrating the current state of Yemeni social policies and the importance of formulating comprehensive and fair policies that reflect the needs of society and respond to them effectively, thereby contributing to the enhancement of political and social stability. The significance of this study lies in its attempt to analyze and understand how social policies can contribute to the stability or disruption of the political system, especially in light of a complex reality suffering from intertwined political, economic, and humanitarian crises. It consists of two sections: the first, titled "Social Policies (Introduction and Reality)," and the second, titled "The Political Impact of Social Policies on the Yemeni Reality After 2015." The study reached several conclusions, the most prominent of which is that social policies have been and continue to be an influential factor in the Yemeni political reality, as the state's weakness in providing social protection programs and the abandonment of parties from their social roles directly affected the widening gap between society and authority, contributing to increased protests and rising political violence. The study recommended the necessity of reactivating social security and protection institutions, keeping them away from political conflict, in addition to formulating effective social policies based on the principles of justice and equality.
