الملخص

The effectiveness of the proposed program for the development of thinking skills in mathematics, and its impact on the developmentof educational acquisition, cognitive intelligence, and psychological attitudes towards   subject on G5 students in the Kingdom of Bahrain .

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed program for the development of thinking skills in mathematics, and its impact on the development of some cognitive and affective variables on a sample of primary school students (fifth grade) at Busaiteen Boy's School. The sample consisted of 30 students. The researcher applied the pre- tests to the sample target: the test of thinking skills in mathematics from the preparation of scale IQ of knowledge, and  identify mental attitudes towards mathematics. Tests were corrected and statistically analyzed and checked  its  validity and stability, That the proposed program has been implemented for the development of thinking skills in mathematics prepared by the researcher, which consists of (18) sessions (two sessions per week) each session lasts (45) minutes. Upon completion of the program re-application of previous tests was done, The results of the study showe'd the effectiveness of the program in the development of thinking skills in mathematics to the students of the experimental group. By comparing their pre- grades and their post grades in the achievement test, has resulted in findings of the study also reported the effectiveness of the program in the development to raise the level of intelligence and knowledge which improve attitudes towards mathematics in the experimental group students through their grades compared to pre-grades and post grades  on the parameters used.
