Abstract
The research aimed at exploring the efficacy of a training program based on Goleman Emotional Intelligence Theory to develop creative thinking skills of a sample of (80) students. The sample were randomly selected from The King Abdullah II School for Excellence in Irbid. Sample was divided into experimental and control groups, (40) students each. (Torrance Creativity Test Form A) was used to measure the fluency, flexibility and originality of both groups, and the training program. Results showed: (1) significant differences related to the training program in creative thinking, fluency, flexibility and originality in favors to the experimental group, (2) no significant differences by age and sex. Recommendations focused taking care of the strategies of Emotional Intelligence in constructing the educational courses.
