Satisfaction with the major and its relationship to psychological comfort among students with hearing disabilities at Dhofar University

Abstract
The study aims to know the level of satisfaction with the major and its relationship to psychological comfort among hearing impaired students at Dhofar University according to the variables of major and academic level.< Marital status, housing.The study followed the descriptive correlational approach and the scales (satisfaction with the major, psychological comfort) were applied to selected sample of (24) male students and (15) female students. The study concluded that the level of satisfaction with the major among hearing-impaired students at Dhofar University ranged between (3.77 -4.62), where the variable had a total arithmetic mean of (30.4), which is a very high level of satisfaction with the major, and that the level of psychological comfort among hearing-impaired students at Dhofar University ranged between (1.31 -4.77), which is a very high level of psychological comfort, and this indicates the existence of a strong direct correlation with statistical significance between satisfaction with the major and psychological comfort among hearing-impaired students at Dhofar University. The study also concluded that there were no statistically significant differences at a significance level of 0.05 between the average satisfaction with the major and psychological comfort among hearing-impaired students at Dhofar University attributed to gender, educational level, social status, and place of residence.
