The extent to which life skills are included in the vocational education book for the eighth grade in Jordan

Abstract
The study aimed to determine the extent of life skills in the vocational education book for the eighth grade in Jordan, and the researcher prepared a list of life skills related to vocational education, which included six main axes: cognitive skills, health and preventive skills, social communication skills, decision-making skills, manual skills, and environmental skills. The study used the analytical descriptive approach using the content analysis card. The study sample included the vocational education book for the eighth grade, the second semester. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: The degree of inclusion of life skills was medium. The study also found that the cognitive skills axis ranked first with a rate of (42.47%), followed by the manual skills axis with a percentage of (22.56%), then the health and preventive skills axis with a percentage of (13.82%), and then followed by the environmental skills axis with a percentage of (13.82%). With a rate of (10.95%), while the remaining axes came with low percentages such as social communication skills and decision-making skills. Based on the results, the researcher recommended the need to reformulate the vocational education book for the eighth grade, so that it takes into account the balance between life skills.
