Present Situation of Crisis Management in Basic and Secondary Schools at Al Mahweet Governorate

Abstract
This study aimed to examine the present situation of crisis management in basic and secondary schools at Al Mahweet Governorate. It also aimed to identify any differences among the participants’ responses that could be attributed to the research variables. In order to achieve these objectives, the researcher followed a descriptive analytical method. Data were collected using a questionnaire after checking its reliability and validity. The study results revealed that the present situation of crisis management at schools in Al Mahweet received an average score in three areas: leadership, planning of crisis management and crisis management teams, while the score was low in two areas: information and communication. The findings also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α=0.05) among the participants’ responses attributed to the research variables which were qualification, education level and years of experience. The study concludes with a number of suggestions and recommendations.
