Abstract

In this research, we present the scientific methods Ibn Jinni adopted in constructing the phonological lesson, despite being one of the first to develop it. Therefore, the question remains: What were the most important scientific motivations that led him to it? What were the most important steps he relied on in establishing this scientific foundation? What are the most important phonological features he relied on in establishing this lesson? What are the intellectual, methodological, and grammatical foundations he focused on? These are the most important questions upon which the answer is based. I adopted the descriptive and analytical scientific method in doing so.
