##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the impact of job burnout in its dimensions (emotional exhaustion, reduced personal accomplishment, depersonalization) on the performance of employees at the University of Shabwa. The descriptive and analytical approach was used, relying on a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The study population included all employees at the University of Shabwa, totaling (210) according to the university's Human Resources department. A comprehensive census of the entire study population was conducted, achieving a response rate of (81.9%), resulting in a final sample of (172) individuals.
Key findings: a high level of job burnout was found at the University of Shabwa with a mean score of (3.27), and a high level of employee performance was also found with a mean score of (3.97). A direct, moderate correlation was found between the combined dimensions of job burnout and employee performance. However, no relationship was found between the dimension of reduced personal accomplishment and employee performance when considered individually.
The study recommended reducing the workload by conducting a thorough analysis of the tasks assigned to each employee to distinguish between essential and non-essential duties, redistributing tasks according to individual capabilities, and providing rewards and incentives for employees who demonstrate dedication and commitment to their work
