Abstract:
This study addressed the issue of schooling psychology which is an attempt to provide assistance to social workers, psychologists, teachers, and even university professors on how to identify pupils suffering from learning disabilities, in general, and developmental learning difficulties in particular, by creating a diagnostic tool or measure that would contribute to improving the level of adequacy of diagnosis and evaluation; and to help social workers to achieve quality performance in detecting the symptoms of pupils’ behaviors.
The study aimed to build a diagnostic measure to diagnose pupils with developmental learning difficulties of five types: attention, perception, memory, thinking, oral language. The study was conducted on a sample of 76 pupils from special education departments, because pupils with learning difficulties belong to groups of special needs. Results revealed that there is a need to adjust the psychometric properties of the measure, including validity and reliability so that it can be used to serve the purpose it was designed for.
