Abstract:

     This study aimed at investigating the relationship between the social intelligence and social self concept within a sample of the students of education science college at mutah university in Jordan, and exploring whether the level of social intelligence and social self concept would be varied due to gender, study year, and the major. The sample consisted of (184) male and female students randomly chosen from different degrees of educational (B.A) majors during the 2nd academic semester 2012/2013, and subjected to social intelligence and social self concept scales. The results indicated there was high positive correlation between the social intelligence and social self concept, and their level were high and above the hypothetical mean. The results also indicated that no significant differences were found in the level of both the social intelligence and social self concept due to gender, study level, and the major.
