Abstract

Emotional intelligence of students at the University of the Northern Border in Saudi Arabia Kingdom,  and  it's relation to  majour academic  year, and decision-making

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate  the differences in emotional intelligence among students of Northern Border University, and it's relation to the type of field ( human , scientific ) the level of the academic  year ( the first , fourth ). in addition the study aimed to investigate  the relationship between emotional intelligence and the ability of decision- making. The sample composed of ( 216 ) students from the University of the Northern Border in Saudi Arabic , A measure of emotional intelligence , and the measure of decision-making , have  been used to collet date for the study The –t-  test has been used to know the differences attributable to the level of the academic year and the type of field, The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to investigate  the relationship between emotional intelligence and decision-making . Results revealed a statistically significant differences due to the type of field, in favor of the human field.  Also results did not show statistically significant differences attributable to the level of the academic year, Finally, the results revealed a statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and student's ability of  decision-making.
