Effectiveness Enhancement Program Based on the Dimensions of Learning of Algebra in the Development of Habits of Mind Product of Gifted Students of Second Grade in Middle School of K.S.A
Abstract: The current search targeted build enhancement program based on the dimensions of learning model for teaching algebra and measuring it’s effectiveness of developing of habits of mind of talented and gifted students. To achieve the previous aim, the literature and previous studies was extrapolated to build the program to teaching algebra in light of dimensions of learning model, and to identify objective, content, activities, teaching strategies and evaluation methods. The research was based on the experimental design (pre - post), the sample consisted of 41 students from the second grade, were selected using the standards. Scale was built to measure habits of mind in algebra consisting of 40 items. After the action field application on the sample, data were collected and processed statistically; the main finding was the effectiveness of the program in developing habits of mind. The most important recommendations is using the dimensions of learning model in teaching algebra to developing habits of mind of talented and gifted students.
