Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the and relationship between habits of the mind and achievement motivation among students in the College of Education at King Saud University and whether Habits of Mind differ according among to the Grade and achievement level .
The sample of the study consisted of (202) students were selected randomly in the College of education at King Saud University, used in study Two scale The first : Habits of Mind in the development researcher, distributed into eight dimension ( Persisting, Posing Question, Experiencing Wonderment, checking for accuracy, Creativity, Leadership. self-Interest, expresses vitality) The second Scale Achievement Motivation distributed into fourth dimension (Persisting, goal seeks to achieve, and ambition, Learner's perception of his abilities and the value of learning).
The results revealed that the students level of Habits of Mind was High, and that dimension of on the scale were rank- ordered as follows :( Leadership, Persisting, self-Interest , Posing Question, , Creativity, checking for accuracy, Experiencing Wonderment, expresses vitality), and the results showed significant differences in Habits of Mind , according among to the Grade and achievement level , in favor of the post-graduate level and excellent achievement, The results of the study revealed also significant relationship Between the habits of the mind and achievement motivation. And also showed the results of multiple regression analysis to total scale habits of the mind and following dimensions: leadership, Creativity, expresses vitality has contributed to a statistically significant in achievement motivation.
