       The current study aimed to The relative contribution the habits of mind and their relation with the emotional intelligence among female students of the Primary and High schools in Ibb city in Yemen. It also intended to find out if there are statistically significant differences in habits of mind in the variable of the level of the study. The study sample consisted of (466) female students, To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers built a measure of the habits of the mind, and adopted the scale of emotional intelligence prepared by Bar-On. For the purposes of the present study, the researchers made sure of the reliability and validity of the two measures and the extent of their suitability for application to the Yemeni environment.

     The results showed the level of the habits of mind among the upper primary and high school female students in Ibb city in Yemen were moderately. It is also found statistically significant differences in the habits of mind regarding the habits of (persistence, controlling impulsivity, listening carefully with empathy, thinking of thinking (meta-cognition), striving for accuracy and precision) according to the variable of the level of the study (seventh, tenth, twelfth), in favor of the female students in the twelfth level, and except of the controlling of the impulsivity, which was in favor of the seventh grade students . Furthermore, there were   no statistically significant differences found between the students in the imagination, creativity and innovation habits. Besides, the results of the multiple regression analysis showed habit that the listening carefully with empathy habit contributed significantly in the predicting the emotional intelligence.
