Abstract

The interest in artificial intelligence (AI) applications has significantly increased across various life domains, including education, where it has become imperative to deal with these advancements to keep pace with the current era's changes and enhance the experience of both teachers and students in the educational process. The research aims to explore the requirements of AI application in the educational process from the perspective of teachers in Ma'an Governorate. A descriptive-analytical approach was used, and a questionnaire was developed to collect data from teachers working in Ma'an Governorate. The results revealed major challenges facing AI applications in schools, such as high costs, inadequate training, and the lack of infrastructure and classroom suitability to accommodate these technologies. The results also underscored the necessity to meet the financial, technological, and organizational requirements for AI implementation in schools. Based on the findings, it is recommended to allocate special budgets for the development and updating of infrastructure and to provide necessary training for teachers and staff. Additionally, financial, technological, and organizational support should be provided for AI implementation in schools, along with improving school infrastructure to align with these advanced technologies.
