Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of social adjustment among a number of children with special needs from the category of people with hearing impairment and its relationship to their educational attainment. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method for this, with a sample of (100) deaf and hard of hearing children attending a number of special education centers. The researcher also used the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data and information. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher also used a number of statistical methods, including the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, the reliability coefficient using the split-half method, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and the Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient. The results indicated that the level of social harmony among It was significant for deaf and hard of hearing children, and the results showed that there was a positive, direct correlation between the academic achievement scores of deaf and hard of hearing students and their degree of social adjustment. The results of this study also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of responses of the study sample members, which is attributed to the gender variable (males/females) on the social compatibility scale in favor of females.
