Abstract
The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between emotional labor and coping strategies among traffic police in Palestine, and to reveal differences in emotional labor and coping strategies according to the variables (work experience and educational qualification). The study used the descriptive correlation approach. The study sample was (197) respondents from the Palestinian Traffic Police who were selected using a simple random sampling method. To achieve the purpose of the study, two measures of emotional labor and coping strategies were used. The results of the study showed that the level of emotional labor was high, and the results also showed that there were no differences in the level of emotional labor depending on the variables of work experience and academic qualification. While the results of the study showed that there were differences in the coping strategies of Palestinian traffic police due to the variables (work experience and academic qualification) to the strategies (planning to solve problems, re-evaluation, belonging, and self-control), it was also clear that there was a positive correlation between emotional labor, and coping strategies (planning to solve problems, re-evaluation, belonging, taking responsibility, and self-control).
