Impact of Quality of Work Life on Improving Work Engagement at the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation

Abstract
This study examined the effect of the quality of work life on improving work engagement in the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation. In order to achieve this objective, a sample of 330 employees was selected from the headquarters of the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation, located in Sana'a, the capital city of Yemen. The study used a survey to collect preliminary data required for the study. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used to check the validity of the measures used in the study. The EFA analysis revealed that the number of dimensions of quality of work conditions decreased from six dimensions to five dimensions due to the combination of the dimensions of participation in decision-making and the president's style of supervision under one dimension, called the president's style of supervision. The EFA analysis also decreased the dimensions of work engagement from three dimensions to two dimensions by combining the dimensions of vitality and enthusiasm at work and dedication to work under one dimension, called enthusiasm and sincerity work. The results also revealed that the practice of dimensions of quality of work life has a significant relationship with the improvement of work engagement in the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation.
