2. Educational activities in pre-school institutions as a base to develop the child's leadership behavior: Khartoum institution preschool as a model

Abstract
This study aimed to explore the role of educational activities in the kindergartens as a pivot for the development of the leadership behavior in children, Khartoum (Sudan) Foundation a pattern, which is the educational institute that has 23 branches and adopts the syllabus set by the ministry of education and guidance, in addition to its extra-curricular activities. It is also the first educational institute in Sudan that is ISO certified for five times consecutively – that adopts a self-learning program project for the development of the main eight intelligences as a pioneer experiment at the level of Sudan and the Arab World.
The program took place in the year 2008-2009, and the number of children who benefitted from these educational activities reached 1600 in the state of Khartoum. The researcher adopted the analytical descriptive approach. The sample included analysis of the responses of 74 teachers regarding the educational activities out of which 40 were randomly selected as samples. The programme commenced the educational activities under the name of (the Educational Forums) for the Development of the basis of leadership behavior in children, and after measuring the outcomes of the educational forums, the results of the study reached to the fact that there is variance in the levels of performance of the child educational forums, since the results of the study proved that the music and theatre and popular heritage forums were the most attractive for children and conducive to discovering the potentials and creativity within them, as well as the environment niceties forum. The study also reached to a fact that there are statistical variances in the role of the educational activities to develop the leadership behavior from the point of view of the teachers, and that there are also differences in the levels of benefitting from the educational forums attributed to the level of qualifications of the teacher (experience and training).
The study recommended the importance of the legislations pertaining to consider the child as the center for the educational process, the importance of knowledge and training of the educational departments concerned and working in the field of early childhood, preparing of budgets to run forums in a systematic manner, the necessity for the international societies to encourage and morally support the local social institutions that work to improve the child’s capabilities to acquire new direct experiences that contribute to help the child accomplish the educational activities, the importance of the information institutions to lift the level of the educational awareness about the modern child educational programmes, the importance of planning for the teaching goals of the educational activities that achieve the vision and message of the educational foundation to resolve child issues and to increase the child awareness about her/himself and society in order to early participate in a positive way according to the latest developments in education
