This study aimed at identifying the impact of religious and social children stories on developing creative thinking skills in pre-school children in Al Qaseem zone- Saudi Arabia. The sample of this study consisted of (92) Pre-school children of "Noor al-Oloom" School of elementary level, Al Dorra private kindergarten, and Al Ghad model school, All of which were located in Bareedah governorate at Al Qaseem zone Saudi Arabia .
This sample has been divided into three groups: two experimental groups and one control group. The first experimental group was given religious stories, whereas the other was given social stories. The children in the third group, which was the control group, were not given any stories. Afterwards, all three groups were subjected to Torrance's formalism of creative thinking test (pre- and post-test)
The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the development of creative thinking between the two experimental groups and the control group, in favour of the former groups.
The study also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of creative thinking in its two dimensions (flexibility and fluency), in favor of the first experimental group (the religious stories).
