Abstract

Abstract:

This study aimed to identify the attitudes of the teaching staff towards using the internet in teaching and scientific research in Arhab Education College at Sana'a University.

A questionnaire had been developed by the researcher to measure the attitudes of the teaching staff in variables of  gender, academic rank, and years of experience in two areas: teaching and scientific research.  The sample was confined to those who either have e-mail accounts or social networking such as Facebook. The total of this sample was (39) teaching staff members. (30) of them who responded represented (77%) of the total number of questionnaires sent. The analysis of results revealed that  their attitudes towards using Internet in teaching and scientific research were positive. Results also  showed no statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) toward using the Internet in teaching and scientific research, which is attributed to the variables of study.
