The effectiveness of a training program to develop problem-solving skills among students in special education department, King Khalid University - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a program on developing problem solving skills of Department of Special Education students at King Khalid University. The sample consisted of (40) students, who were divided into two groups: the control group (20), and the experimental group (20). Based on the theoretical background, previous studies and experts in education, psychology he researcher prepared a scale of problem-solving skills. The researcher also proposed a training program for the development of problem-solving skills. The results revealed there were statistically significant differences between the control and the experimental groups, in favor of the experimental group.
