Evaluation study for buildings of faculty of Education in light of quality standards (field study in Libya )

Abstract
This study aims to know status of buildings of faculty of Education and the extent of conformance to quality standards. For achieving this objective, the researcher has used a questionnaire as a tool of measurement ,where it is composed of 6 axes and 70 items . All data is collected from a community of (15) faculties.
A sample of 10 faculties has been randomly selected. Which represent of (%67) of study community . Results of study has showed that %54,44 of average total of axis for site and design of buildings as conformity to quality standards, and %45.56 thereof is not conforming to quality standard. %32.22 of average total of axis for classrooms are conforming to quality standards, and %67.78 are not confirming to quality standards. %46.67 of average total of axis for classrooms and spaces concerning activities are conforming to quality standards, and %53,33 are not conforming to quality standards.%39.34 of average total of academic libraries at the concerned faculties are conforming to quality standards, and %65,33 are not conforming to quality standards. %42,87 % of average total of tiers at faculties are conforming to quality standards, and %43,75 are not confirming to quality standards. %56,25 of average total of cafes at faculties are conforming to quality standards, and %43,75 are not confirming to quality standards. %67 of average total of axis for health facilities are conforming to quality standards, and %32 are not conforming to quality standards. %15 of the concerned faculties receive a periodic maintenance which means %85 thereof don't receive any periodic maintenance . The study draws attention to form a committee from specialized experts in architectural and educational elements under supervision of ministry of higher education for making studies necessary for drawing suitable standards with taking into account the economic and social aspects at any side of buildings of Faculties of Education, with benefiting from experiments of other countries according to applicable standards in various countries in particular that suitable for our circumstances and as per modern and continuously developed educational and technical research information.
