Abstract
The Social Responsibility of the Islamic University Faculty members and the ways of Activating it
Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the social responsibility for the academic staff at the Islamic university and how to activate it.
In order to achieve this objective, the researchers used the descriptive analytical method by formulating a questionnaire includes (50) paragraphs divided into three fields: the social responsibility towards students, university and society. For this purpose, the researchers chose a sample of (135) academic members.
The findings indicate the following:
1- The relative weight of social responsibility for the academic staff was (% 79.58); this indicates that there is a high level of social responsibility.
2- There are no statistically significant differences due to the variables (sex, age).
3- There are statistically significant differences due to the faculty variable (humanitarian, scientific, lawful) in favor of the lawful faculty.
In the end of the study, the researchers recommended the importance of preparing programs guide the academic staff members towards their responsibilities.
