The Impact of the use of ICT in Improving University Performance at Babel University Iraq

 Information technology is a strategic source for contemporary organizations، especially in university; it has been possible to provide most of university services through Information Technology tools of the computer، the Internet and other means of communication. The discussion dealt with two basic variables: information technology and university performance، because the two variables mentioned are among the variables that has a significant impact in improving the effectiveness of university performance، which increases the Necessity for the university providing the best scientific and educational services، and thus attract the largest possible number of students، and supplement public and private organizations their need in the field of advice and expertise. So the research problem is: identifying the needs of the Iraqi University of Babylon in the field of information technology، in order to know the strengths points to promotion them، and to reduce the Weaknesses points.

The most important conclusions reached by the research that the basic criteria for assessing the quality of university performance focused on the message and overall objectives، and program structure and content، and the learning environment، and the quality of students admitted، the system study، success rates، and quality of graduates، and the efficiency of the teaching staff، and educational facilities، and external Communications and exchange of knowledge as well as continuous monitoring and ongoing implementation of educational programs.

Among the most prominent recommendations is to link the university community، through the opening various of programs that feed the needs of society، and the university begins to draw the road map to enter the knowledge economy by holding a global forum for the study of international trends.
