Abstract

The Sense of Security faculty members in Jordanian Public Universities and its Relationship to their Job Performance from their Department Heads` Perspectiveabstract:
This study aimed to identify the degree of the Sense of security among faculty members in Jordanian public universities, and clarify its relation to their job performance from their department heads` perspective. The study population consisted of (314) department heads, (85) of whome were selected randomly as study a sample. To achieve the goal of the study, a Sense of security questionnaire, and job performance questionnaire which were developed by the researcher were used. The results revealed that the degree of Sense of security by the participants was high (4.0505 out of 5). The job performance level for the board in their units was also high (3.77 out of 5). There was also a significant statically relation between sense of security and job performance (Coefficient = 0.54), Which is a significant statically relation.
