Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to contribute to enhancing education quality and academic accreditation culture, through generalizing the experience acquired by Electrical Engineering department in Sana'a university  through the participation of the department in a course related to evaluating programs of engineering faculties in Arab universities, which was under  the auspices of  the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).  The paper deals with this experience through three stages: local and international training, preparing self-evaluation documents, and external referees review. This paper also reflects on the lessons learnt in addition to conclusions and recommendations.
