Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effect of providing family psychological support to primary school students and its relationship to academic achievement in Ma'an Governorate. The study used the descriptive analysis method, and the questionnaire, which consisted of 26 items, was used to collect data from the study sample, which included (352) male and female primary school students in Ma'an Governorate. The study concluded that the extent of family psychological support for primary school students in Ma'an Governorate was moderate, and the impact of family psychological support on academic achievement among primary school students in Ma'an Governorate from the student's point of view came to a moderate degree. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between students' estimation of the impact of family psychological support on the academic achievement of primary school students in Ma'an Governorate, due to the student's gender variable in favor of females. Based on the results, the researcher recommended that the school should involve the family in any decisions related to their children and invite them to participate with their children in school trips, events, and parties that are held in the school.
